A Few Things You Should Know About Me:

Global Perspective: Though I call Texas home, I grew up in Scotland, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and centuries of rich history. My European upbringing deeply influences my work, adding a refined, timeless touch to every wedding I capture. Whether your wedding is in the heart of Dallas or the romantic shores of Italy, I approach every celebration with the same attention to detail and appreciation for beauty that I’ve carried with me since childhood.

  1. Minimalist at Heart: We live in a charming 1280-square-foot, 1930s home with a spacious backyard and a beautiful flower garden. I cherish the simplicity of our everyday moments, from watching my son and Yorkie play to hearing the soft sound of tiny feet on original hardwood floors. These simple moments inspire my work, reminding me of the beauty in life’s little details.

  2. Family is Everything: Faith and Family is the foundation of my world, and I hold every moment with them close to my heart. Their love and support inspire everything I do, especially the work I create for my clients.

  3. A Passion for Design: I have a deep love for home design and decor. While I may not be friends with Joanna Gaines (yet!), I find joy in transforming spaces, and I’m always inspired by the beauty of thoughtful design, whether in a home or a wedding.

  4. A Love for History: I’m constantly inspired by the elegance of historic neighborhoods and the timeless architecture they showcase. There’s something so captivating about the stories old buildings tell, and that same appreciation for beauty and legacy flows into my photography.

  5. Indulgences: A massage is my ultimate indulgence, providing the perfect chance to unwind and recharge. I also adore rainy days—the perfect backdrop for quiet reflection and a moment of pause amidst a busy world.

  6. Endlessly Inspired by Architecture: The lines, shapes, and grandeur of architecture always capture my attention. It’s a passion that influences my approach to photography, as I strive to incorporate elegance and depth into every image I capture.

Hello, I’m Ellen!

I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a wedding photographer based just outside of Dallas, Texas, and I specialize in capturing love stories that are timeless, heartfelt, and uniquely personal. While I’m behind the camera, my heart is fully immersed in telling the story of your day—one that will last for generations.

I grew up in Scotland, surrounded by rolling hills, centuries-old castles, and a deep sense of history. This European upbringing is woven into my photography, giving me a unique perspective when it comes to capturing weddings. Whether I’m photographing a couple in the heart of Texas or shooting a destination wedding in Europe, my work is inspired by the elegance, heritage, and timeless beauty I was lucky enough to experience growing up coupled with my deep Texas roots.

Now, I live just outside of Dallas with my college sweetheart and husband, our smiley son, and our spirited Yorkie, Mack. Together, we’re building a life full of love, laughter, and beautiful moments in our 1930s home. We enjoy quiet mornings, sipping on British breakfast tea , and watching our son and Yorkie chase each other through the backyard, making memories with every step.

Since 2013, I’ve had the privilege of photographing weddings and feel incredibly blessed to work with the most wonderful couples. Whether it’s an intimate ceremony or a grand celebration, I’ve had the honor of capturing some of life’s most cherished moments. Traveling for my work has allowed me to meet incredible people, and it’s not uncommon to find me at an airport with my camera bag in tow, a Starbucks in hand, and chatting with brides and strangers alike. I love that my job allows me to connect with so many people and, most importantly, to tell their love stories.
